Hi,
I'm Ryan Robinson, the subject and author of this website. I am a student at Queen's School of Religion, working toward my Master of Divinity. My greatest interests within theology are church history, the emerging church, Anabaptist theology, and Christian education. Along with my school work, I maintain my great interest in theology through other readings, small group participation, and my theological blog Musings of an Urban Mennonite.
Prior to this degree, I completed a Bachelor of Computing Honours in Cognitive Science, also at Queen's University. My biggest area of interest throughout this degree was computational models of language and I completed my undergraduate research paper on this topic. I continue my interest in technology professionally particularly through Causer Technology - a small business providing technology to churches and other ministries - but also through two other part-time jobs as a Sound Technician for Chalmers United Church and in the Queen's Emerging Technology Centre.
Before coming to Kingston for school, I grew up in the Minden, Ontario area. I have two sisters, both older; two step-sisters, one older and one younger; two step-brothers, one older and one younger; and one half-brother, younger. I'm now engaged to the most amazing woman in the world, Emily Davies.
Within this About section of the website, you can also see Character References, Awards and degrees I've received, my Ministry Vision Statement and my Statement of Faith. In less serious content but as a way to get to know me further, I also have included pages on Recommended Books (particularly if you're interested in my theology), Recommended Podcasts, and my Favourite Movies and TV Shows.
